In alignment with Portland, OR-based ESCO Corp.’s strategy of continued and aggressive global growth in its core markets, Jon Owens, vice president, mining and construction products, assumes the newly created position of vice president, business development and global products. “I’m excited by our focus on growing Esco’s business worldwide in the markets and competencies where we already excel — namely the design, manufacture and global distribution of highly engineered metal wearparts, components and earthmoving products used in global mining and construction applications,” Owens said. “I’m also eager to explore new opportunities that will help Esco build our leadership position around the world.” Owens joined the company in 1986 and in addition to business development, oversees product management, engineering and marketing for all mining, construction and industrial products. Owens also manages Esco’s licensee relationships in Australia, Chile, Japan and South Africa. Esco Corp. is a global manufacturer of engineered metal wearparts and components for industrial applications, including mining, construction, power generation and aerospace. The company has 25 manufacturing sites throughout the world and a global distribution network that sells Esco-branded products throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Russia, Africa and the Middle East.
